Kindness

Why can't some people take kindness well? I was at the grocery store shopping. When I get in line I always look behind me to see if the person has less stuff than me.I make it a habit to let them get in front of me.I had never had a problem with a person getting in front because I know how I feel when I am in back of someone with a load of groceries.Well there was a guy behind me he had one item.So I told him ,he can get in front of me.He said no that's okay.I said go ahead I have a lot of groceries and you only have one thing. That guy would not get in front of me.When I said I had a lot of groceries I had a lot.I don't know his reason for not taking me up on that.

Try and do something kind for someone this weekend.

God bless have a good weekend!!!

My pastor is preaching on grace this month, and he mentioned that some people don't know how to handle grace. Some folks actually get offended when grace is extended to them, because they think they have to earn favor from others. Maybe this guy was threatened by your kindness b/c he felt he couldn't repay it. IDK.

Are those water lilies? They're pretty.

Who knows maybe it was his time to just chill. I know some folks like to be able to stand still and get a moment of peace. I have done that where I let folks ahead just to prolong me from my million things to do.

Or maybe he felt he was being gentlemanly.

People are strange. Several years ago, there was a new young lady to our church. We were the same age, but she was a single parent of one and I was married with one child. To make a long story short, she misinterpreted my kindness as me attempting to say I was better than she was. I was really hurt when she revealed it, but I realized at that point that some people have issues and it may not have anything to do with you.

Oh I just love people like you! That happens to me all the time. I always do it too, why not?
Yes, I never learned to dance (re; my post) but wished I had. It looks like such freedom. I guess it is never too late, is it?

BTW, your profile, The Colour Purple has to be one of the best movies of all time. I still call everyone shugs because of that movie!

Maybe he felt funny going in front of a woman...maybe he believes in women and children first...that is probably what my husband would do for that reason.

I do try to do this, also. As believers, we should always be thinking of how we can bless the other person.

At least you tried!

I too try to pratice Random Acts of Kindness and not everyone is able to receive. Some people think you want something from them or you are just crazy at times. But, I keep blessing others anyway because I don't want to miss my blessing.
