I have been working on simplicity 3877 and the skirt part I am having some trouble.I will finish this dress after the holiday.Maybe I can figure out what I am doing wrong.
Then my dd was not feeling her swim class this week so she cried and cried. The kids in the class is use to her crying.Maybe one day she will enjoy swim class. If you click on the picture you can see it better.Sorry for the bad photo.
We also celebrated my mothers birthday this week before she left to go back to Illinois. She enjoyed that.
My DH decided he wanted to build at deck this week.So my dh and my mothers boyfriend and my brother in law went to home depot and got some wood and started building a deck.I have some photos below. It is looking good.Hopefully they will be done after the holiday.I hope every one have a safe and happy holiday.

wow! not that's a weekend warrior project. God bless him. The closest to my husband would come to building a deck is a layer on a double decker sandwich! LOL!
WOW! Its looking great!
Wow! I wish my husband could make a deck in a weekend! He added a section onto ours last summer and it still isn't finished! I remember not liking swim class either - or the diving part at least - I was scared of drowning! To this day I can swim but not as well as I wish I could. I wish my mother had made me continue on with classes.

Isn't it blissful when DH is handy... the family will enjoy the deck when its completed and experience euphoria knowing it was done by yours truly...hehe. Push on with the swimming classes.. I'm regretting that I was too fearful to allow my daughter to learn.

I wanted to make a note and thank you for your prayers about Lily. We love that you enjoy our blog. On another note, you are a great seamstress! I wish I had the patience to sew ANYTHING. Your DD is adorable, your DH is amazing to build a deck like that. John is lucky to be able to change lightbulbs (never tell him I said so!)
Thank you!

Simplicity 3877 is such a great dress. What kinds of problems are you having with the skirt?
