I hope everyone had great Easter,I did.The kids got all dress up and we went to church.My kids wasn't in this years Easter program,because I have been so busy at home didn't have time to take them to practice.



You probable saying busy doing what.Well my dh decided he wanted to gut out our bathroom in our bedroom and redo it!!ME HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!
That means all new things for my bathroom.And I tell you my bathroom was pretty sad looking.So I have dust and dirt flying around my house because of all the work he is doing.


Well I am not able to sew anything until the bathroom is done.So I have been practicing on my knitting.Yes I have my first knitting project done.

Pattern: First Knits
Yarn: caron simply soft(yarn pattern calls for rowan wool cotton)
Needles: US 6/tapestry needle
Conclusion: This is a great hat to make if you are a first time knitter.I learn how to thumb cast-on,decrease and bind off.The hat came out a little bigger than it looked.I think that is because I didn't use the yarn the pattern called for and the yarn I used was to soft.I did have some trouble sometime trying to keep my stitches from sliding off my needle.So I had to take it slow so that would happen.I still love my hat,but I will be giving it to my teenager to wear,because it is a little to big for me.I really enjoyed knitting ,the next thing I want to learn is cables now I think that is going to be a lot harder.

I AM KNITTING!!!!

Well I have been so busy getting things together in my house for my Son's open house in June.I painted my bedroom,but I don't know if I really like the color I painted it.I will show pictures on that in later post.

Hey all my knitting friends!!I finally started on a knitting project.I am making a hat with flaps.I got the pattern out a book called First Knits.I love this book it is great for first time knitters like me.I bought the book at Micheal's craft store,it was 24.95,but I used my 40% coupon to get it for less.

Wow it has been a year since I started blogging!!I have meet a lot of great crafting people while blogging.I just want to say thank you to you bloggers who have help me when I needed it!

Well I have been very busy these last couple of weeks.I have been getting my house together to have my teenager open house in June.I will show pictures of the things I did in the house on a later post.MY DS DID GET A SCHOLARSHIP IN FOOTBALL!!!Yes I cried when they told me!!

Now you know I did squeeze in a little sewing!!I made my dd some pj's to wear to school next week for pj day!!Don't you just love those slippers she has on!!

Pattern: Butterick 5146 view B,D and E.Loose-fitting, unlined jacket has kimono style sleeves,faced neckline and stitched hems.Semi-fitted, pullover tunic B or below mid-knee dress C have long sleeves.Close-fitting camisole D has stitched hems. Straight skirt E and straight leg pants F have elastic casing and stitched hems.

Notions: Stay tape,elastic and interfacing.

Fabric: Navy blue matte jersey.

I had no problems making this outfit, it came out looking just like the pattern.This is something I would make again.

I have a question.Have you ever went to a store and the people in the store didn't want to help you?I went to Walmart to take my son to get some school supplies.Whenever I go to Walmart I always go see if they have any nice fabric on their clearance rack.So while I was looking, the sales lady was on the other side of the fabric rack.I found the fabric I used to make this outfit on the rack and was so happy I knew what I was going to make with it.So I go to the cutting table and wait for the sales lady, she acted like she didn't see me there.So I went to get her,I was a little upset,but I didn't show it.My son whispered in my ear Mama she act like she don't want to help you.I said maybe she had a bad day.Now the fabric was a 1.00 a yard.I told her I want 5 yards of the navy fabric and two yards of the other fabric.She started flinging my fabric off the board and she folded it any kind of way.I didn't say thing I just took my fabric and receipt and went to pay for my things.Long story somewhat short I got home and she made a mistake and charge me 2.00 for all that fabric!!:) :) :) :)That was a great day!!!!

Pay it forward gifts

I join Ms Dishmey in a Pay-it-Forward game just before the Christmas Holiday.How it works is you have 365 days to make a gift for three people.When I posted it on my blog only one person joined me in this game. Ms Lesa join me, so I made her three gifts to make up for not having a total of three people to join in with me.I really had fun making these gifts for Ms.Lesa she says she really like the gifts I made her.I am going to have to try this again some day.:)I made her a neckwarmer,bracelet and a apron.

Well thats it for me happy Valentine's Day!!!

Well I finally sent off all my Pay-It-Forward gifts.I am hoping they will like their gifts.I will show pictures of those gifts once they receive them.I have been trying not to do any sewing until I see my doctor to get X-rays of my leg.So I have been doing some short crocheting projects for my dd.



Yarn: pink and cream is red heart.The brown is Caron wintuk.
Pattern: No pattern made I this on my own.Hat/scarf set.
Needle size:crochet needle H-8.



After seeing Crimson Purl knitted neck warmer I had to have one.I am not a knitter so I went on line to find a crocheted neck warmer pattern and made me one.This took me only an hour and half to make love it.This came in handy this week because it has been very very cold here!!

Yarn: Lion brand Chucky 50% wool and 50% acrylic, multi color.

Painful Sewing

To all my sewing blogger out there what type of chair are you sewing in?Well I have been sewing in that chair picture above for 2 years.I remember when I saw that chair and table set at walmart and had to purchase it.Now I am having leg problems and back troubles.My right leg is numb from the knee down.It has been like that the whole month of December.Now pain is starting to come in my leg.My doctor gave some pills to get the inflammation down. When it goes down I will have to get some X-rays to see what is going on.I have been sewing off and on ,but I used my adjustable computer chair to sew in.My doctor told me not to do any sewing for a while, but I am hard headed.To my blogging friends make sure you have the right chair to sew in so you won't have pain later!!!

These are some of the things I shouldn't of have been sewing!SHH don't tell.And yes I was in pain after making each and everything!See I told you I was hard headed!

Fabric:A silk like fabric,I really can't remember but I do remember it was a washable fabric.Yards: 1 3/8.
Notions:1/2yd of 1/4 elastic,two 3/8 buttons,ten hooks and eyes.
Misses top close fitting top has long sleeves with elastic on upper edge.
I love this top.I was surprised that I didn't have any trouble making this top.This pattern is out of print.I had this pattern I think about 4 years.

I love this top for my dd.I know its a pj top but I thought it would be cute as an everyday top also.

This was very very easy pants.I just added the hello kitten fleece to the bottom of the pants with double sided webbing.Then I just zig-zag around it.

Tops have front gathers, self-lined midriff,tie belts,sleeve and upper front variations.

Wow now I am going to have to stop sewing for a little while!That is going to be very hard not to do.I guess I will have do more crocheting!:)
